  • Today I learned that there is not much you can do while your foot is in a bucket.

    It's quite frustrating actually.

    You should try it sometime.

    Yeah...

  • What are the odds?

So this semester I am completing a capstone for one of my minors and a thesis for the honors program.  Over winter break, I e-mailed Dr. Liba Pejchar in the department of Forestry, Rangeland and Watershed Stewardship about being my adviser for the capstone.  I met with her and she's really nice and was totally willing to work with me...

A few days ago, I began the search (yet again) for a thesis adviser.  I e-mailed someone in the Human Dimensions of Natural Resources department, who referred me to someone about to go on maternity leave who then referred me to a new guy.  New guy- Dr. Josh Goldstein- was really excited about helping me so I met with him today.  We talked about all kinds of stuff including my capstone project, at which point I mentioned that Liba was my adviser.

    Yeah...Liba's his wife.

Seriously, what are the odds of that?
